Born Clifford Mokhuane, his passion for music was ignited as a young boy. Sadly, he abandoned this dream only to re-emerge two years ago with a renewed passion and zest. Hailing from the culturally rich heart of Mangaung (Bloemfontein) in the Free State, 59-year-old Ole blends elements of jazz, Afro-soul, dance, and gospel into his sound. His diverse musical tastes encompass R&B, country, pop, reggae, and African music. Ole Cliff sees his art as a mission! To be a beacon of hope, love, joy, and courage in a world often overshadowed by uncertainty and struggle. His sound is not only beautifully crafted but also serves as a vital source of inspiration and resilience. In 1994, The Coca-Cola Full Blast Music Show awarded Ole Cliff (known then as Pure Diamond) the New Best Artist of the Year Award. A true polymath, Ole’s talents stretch far beyond the recording studio. When he’s not composing or performing, he operates a successful private practice as a registered accountant and tax professional. In addition, he applies his creative flair to designing and crafting elegant household ornaments and functional pieces, showcasing yet another layer of his boundless ingenuity.
