Personal profile

Tefo Lerumo was born in Pretoria (South Africa), grew up in the northern Gauteng township of Mabopane; Tefo Lerumo is a humble boy from humble beginnings. first got introduced to the genre of house music by his older brother – amidst a thriving culture of underground house music uniting the youth in the townships of Pretoria and indeed many others around the country – and has never looked back since. He is more of an afro-house fan and that is why the majority of his sets are drum-beat influenced highlighting a definitive style of afro/ soulful/ vocal still relevant in the township house movement. As for his visions and aspirations; they are, to one day see underground house music break into the mainstream and artists of this genre get the global recognition and respect as bona fide musicians they deserve. Pursuant to this objective, Tefo Lerumo has since then endeavoured to conceptualise and build a record label, entertainment & Media Company whose primary goal is to celebrate and showcase South African artistry. Tefo categorically states that he first identifies himself as an entrepreneur and secondary to that an artist/musician and sees why not the two roles cannot coexist. By his understanding, it is in fact his background in business knowledge that allows him to protect, preserve and better exploit his artistic produce and maintain artistic integrity.
