My name is Steven Kahn, Founder/CEO of music artist management and promotion company Joint Beatz Music.
I’m on the management team for a rising young Pop Artist from New York named Chris Milo. Apart from being a successful live performer, having opened for such renowned artists as John Waite, Livingston Taylor, Lords of 52nd Street (Billy Joel’s original band), Randy Jackson of Zebra, the Blues Project, and Tito Puente, Jr. Chris’s debut original single “Poisoned Love” hit the top of the New Music Weekly radio charts in 2021 and was extensively played on major radio stations across the United States and internationally.
Chris has a sound reminiscent of Ed Sheeran and a look and sound reminiscent of Shawn Mendes. His recent Pop single “Somebody to Love” garnered almost 20K YouTube streams and Chris is also a bilingual English/Spanish performer and an award-winning ballroom dancer. His latest single, the Latin/Pop "Eres Bella," garnered 21K+ YouTube streams within the first few days.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON CHRIS MILO:
Chris Milo, who recently appeared in Newsday's cover story "Beyond cover bands: Meet 8 promising LIers playing original music," is a singer, songwriter, professional recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, actor and dancer from Long Island, New York.
Of Cuban/Puerto Rican and Italian descent, Chris has performed at numerous venues across NYC and Long Island, including The Suffolk Theater, Bitter End, Marriot Marquis, Roosevelt Hotel, and My Father’s Place. Prominent artists Chris has opened for include Randy Jackson of Zebra, The Blues Project, and Billy Joel's original band, The Lords of 52nd Street. Chris's live performances include the use of 2 pedalboards with effects, looping microphone, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and keyboard. Along with Chris's soulful, vibrant singing and dynamic live persona, the result is a unique sound and vibe that is strikingly akin to a full band performance.
Chris’s love for music started at a young age, drawing influences from early soul/R&B artists such as Otis Redding, Nina Simone, Joe Bonamassa, the rockabilly of Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran, and the pop/rock of Ritchie Valens, Del Shannon, Dion, Bobby Darin, The Beatles, Queen and Simon & Garfunkel. Contemporary influences include Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Justin Bieber, One Republic and others.
In addition to singing, Chris is an accomplished dancer, having appeared at numerous international Latin ballroom competitions where he danced the Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. Additionally, Chris has appeared in independent films, danced for a TV sitcom on USA Network and performed on many mainstage theatre productions in the NY area.
Chris’s debut single, “Poisoned Love,” along with a Spanish version “Amor Venenoso,” were recorded at Richie Cannata's Cove City Sound Studios in Glen Cove, New York. Both recordings were written, produced, and arranged by Chris in both English and Spanish. His debut album "Poisoned Love EP" also includes his original "Memories" as well as covers of "Ain't No Sunshine" (Bill Withers) and "I Go To Pieces" (Peter & Gordon).
"Poisoned Love" has since been making waves on major radio stations across the country; trending #2 on New Music Weekly's Hot 100 radio chart and #1 on the AC/Hot AC Indie Music Sales Chart. Chris has also been extensively featured in the "Good Times" music and entertainment publication.
