Hahn is a veteran of Canada's music industry and is well versed in all aspects of the business, from broadcasting and journalism to promotion, publicity and marketing. She launched Island Records in Canada and presented Bob Marley with his first ever gold album for North American record sales. She manages Valdy, one of Canada's folk icons who recently was appointed to the Order of Canada, one of Canada's highest civilian honours and was awarded to Valdy for his work as a folk musician and support of charitable causes.
Kathy Hahn is active on the international export front, with experience extending to the beginning of her career having been mentored by RCA Records' International manager and industry veteran Andy Nagy, and starting Island Records for Canada while Chris Blackwell was at the helm.
