I'm JJ, a German-born freelance bassist & lately now also a composer and producer, now living in Amsterdam, NL. In the past also a semi-pro bassist/member of 2 bands in, first Stuttgart (Germany) and later again with 2 bands, but now from Amsterdam. Most notable band involvement so far had been gigging for a while with "The JJC Helder Band", a A'dam group around female singer Marlies Helder with a.o. guitarist Joop van Nimwegen (Ex-Q 65/Livin' Blues) and drummer Pierre van der Linden (Ex-Brainbox/Focus) of a certain Dutch Rock Music legacy. Also, I joined the "Boost Band" as bassist at the end of 2024. It's a interesting local multi-cultural project with about +/- 15 other musicians of various backgrounds & nationalities. Working on & performing a kind of "Middle-East & World Music" repertoire.

Mainly busy with composing, arranging, playing, recording & finally also producing mainly own instrumental tunes in various Funk-Latin-Smooth-Jazz-World Beat inspired styles & flavors. I self-released my (digital) album debut "Heartland" in 2005. Furthermore, as bassist I'm interested & open in serving my bass playing for any recordings, sessions (offline/remote), eventual live gigs or collaborations.
