SYLVESTER AKLAMAVO & MITON BAND (SAMB) is a 6 piece African-Fusion jazz band with some elements of world music.The band is based in South Africa and performs mostly their original compositions that is suitable for most Festival around the world and also do some covers of other artists.The band was put together in 2010 by Sylvester Aklamavo  and He is also the bandleader.  This sextet consist of a Guitarist, Bass guitarist, Pianist, Saxophonist, Percussionist and Drummer.The vocals are done by Sylvester Aklamavo or  other band members depending on what sound we trying to achieve on a particular song. Presently, Miton Fusion Band performed at STANDARD BANK JOY OF JAZZ 2017 on the Development Stage, as one of the winners of DISCOVER S03 COMPETITION and the band was also the 1st runner up of the CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL, 2018 ESPAFRIKA's Young legends online competition. Yfm Live and ReYired, UBUNTU FESTIVAL,2018 in Mpumalanga. The band has been busy performing locally and also hoping to starting their international tours soon.
