We sojourn through life with the believe that we can do it all by ourselves. Yet we find no fulfillment in the very many things we acquire or the social circles we operate in. The vacuum in our hearts, the loneliness and the feeling of being lost drives us further into the desire for material things that lose their worth after the novelty of acquisition wears off. But Christ lets us know that if we only submitted to Him all our worries and all our fears, He is ever ready to give us rest from the burdens we bear and to open His loving arms for us to enjoy His fellowship. "Arms wide open" is a reminder to us to return to the saving grace of Christ.

We get flogged by many situations. These are like thorns that pierce our egos and create doubt in our minds. But the Lord sees us differently and knows the desire of our hearts. Hw sees our sincere wish and efforts to lift praise to Him and Him alone. So we will strive on and work till our voice is heard by the Lord and and we are able to touch His heart, that is a reward more than we can hope pr pray for.
