Personal profile
about the music "A fusion of Country and Folk" is the phrase that I feel best describes my music. Both genres revolve around plainly and honestly expressed emotions. Both tell stories and their themes, often about inner and outer conflict, are strong and nearly always universal. Musically, the best examples feature both distinctive melodies and rich vocal background harmonies. All good reasons for a marriage between Country and Folk. Having grown up and spent the early part of my adulthood in New York State, depending on my mood I sometimes refer to my music as not so much Country-Western as Country-Northeastern. This term seems like an oxymoron if you do not understand that most of the Northeastern part of the country is just that: country… dotted here and there by clearly defined and limited urban locations. Just ask Taylor Swift. I hear she’s from Pennsylvania.
