Personal profile

DAN SPENCER (born July 30, 1984) is an american pop artist and producer residing in the city of Baltimore, MD. Graduating from the Art Institute of Washington with a BA in audio engineering, music has always been at the forefront of his life. After fronting two regionally popular bands, "The Redlights" and "Rustbelt City", throughout the 2000s, he decided to pursue a solo career in 2014. Dan's style can be described as nostalgic, unpredictable modern pop. It's full of big synths, driving beats, luscious pads, and melodies that will become embedded in your mind. It’s a powerful yet sweet sound that will lift you off your feet and have you singing along. Dan's lyrics will take you to a place of love, loss, unity, protest, addiction, and self discovery. Dan's debut record, "Back Track" was released November 27th, 2015. It featured the songs Bringing it Back, Fire Sale, and Truth Serum. It was very successful with over 2 million streams on Spotify. Now in 2018, Dan has released his follow-up record titled "Once Bitten". It is a transition from pop/rock to modern beat-based pop. It features the singles "Vampire" and Paper Trail". Music has always been the driver of Dan's life and he plans to continue sharing it with anyone who will listen. He hopes fans will find inspiration in his new style and continue to follow him throughout his journey. With an album release, nationwide tour, and a new perspective, 2019 is looking to be a promising year for this seasoned singer/songwriter.
