This is a copy of a recent "one sheet" used for promoting a recent album I released in 2012. I apologize if it sounds like I possess a enormous ego, but I guess that's the way "one sheets" are written. Actually my ego is about the size of a walnut-really. ________________________________________________________________________ Dale Menten is a highly regarded singer/songwriter from the US Midwest whose musical portfolio includes a rock ‘n roll hit record, national commercials, movie and TV soundtracks and an off-Broadway musical score. An inductee of both the Mid-America Music and Minnesota Music Halls of Fame, Dale’s career began as a member of the rock ‘n roll group The Gestures releasing a hit record, “Run, Run, Run” which charted in the Billboard Top 50. The group was cited by rock reviewers as having a Beatle-esque, British Invasion sound. He went on to produce his first solo album, “I Really Want to Make a Movie” released on MCA Records which became a Record World and Cashbox album pick. Dale expanded his career with the founding of Cookhouse Recording and Menten Music producing national commercials and TV, movie and musical soundtracks. His most notable work includes: “The Lifeguard” (Paramount Motion Picture); “Pointman” (Warner Brothers TV series); “The Keys” ( NBC Movie of the Week) and “The House of Leather” (an off-Broadway Rock Opera.) An avid outdoorsman, Dale has also released two, popular CD’s of original songs “Somthin’ Fishy” and “Huntin’ Sump’n”, both available at iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon, and many other online music retailers. Dale Menten is a classic troubadour and storyteller in the genre of James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Jimmy Buffet and Paul Simon. “Download Me” is a long-awaited collection of new, original songs about falling in love, experiencing loss and rediscovering love. With infectious melodies and insightful lyrics, Dale’s music will evoke a tapestry of emotions in the listener.
