Dwaine Downton has been around music most of his life. He began dancing for a popular rap group back in “89” when he was in the military. Dwaine traveled around with the group during the early 90’s and helped choreograph some of the hottest dance moves seen on stage. Dwaine and Orlando have helped actors get featured in films and commercials, while also helping pop, r&b and hip-hop artists get their music featured on VH1, National Television and radio.

FTP (For The People) Music Group is an unusual but sustainable business model for a record label. The company was founded by Dwaine Downton/CEO, Orlando Flintroy/COO and Gardner Cole/PRESIDENT as a California partnership in 2011. The record label operates to promote talented artists (singers and rappers) across the United States, with all of the common elements of true talent and drive. FTP Music Group is bringing back artist development, teaching artists to understand the business and helping them to manage their money so they can have longevity in the entertainment industry and throughout their life. As FTP Music Group grows, we will hire some of the brightest students out of college, collaborate with mega artists across the world and become the premier independent record label to stay in the forefront of the music industry.
