Personal profile

I am a songwriter, not an artist who writes across a variety of genres. I am also the author of several music books including The Songwriter's Handbook and The Encyclopedia of the Music Business (winner of the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award and recommended by Academy Award-winning composer Henry Mancini on the Grammy Awards telecast. I have written 14 books and hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles.
