An aspiring composer/arranger for film, television, musical theater and other visual/new media, Edwin’s innate talent can be seen in his honest, sensitive delivery of music, and the high, meticulous standard of his work. He recently graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Writing & Production (minoring in Writing for TV & New Media). Music has always been an integral part of Edwin’s life since the tender age of 4, when he enrolled in the Yamaha Music Education System in Singapore. The Yamaha methodology of education nurtured his musical sensitivity and passion, which have since grown exponentially. He subsequently graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Music & Audio Technology, honing his musical versatility through performing at numerous corporate, community, and charity events. His polymathic educational experiences in video, web design, musicals, and video games have given him an added edge and heightened his musical sensitivity. Moreover, his international educational experiences at the International College of Music (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) have provided him with a comprehensive, yet receptive worldview - ready to take on today’s challenges. Edwin’s favorite part of being a musician is experiencing the sheer power of music - uplifted and transformed on the inside by songs that relate to his current state of mind. He derives the greatest pleasure from marrying the unspoken power of music to visual media, conveying an otherwise unattainable sense of depth and emotion. In his view, being a successful musician is not about fame or fortune, but the ability to inspire lives. Most recently, giving back to the community through his passion in music has seen him involved with the Berklee City Music Mentoring Program and being a Berklee Admissions Student Ambassador (now Alumni Rep). Edwin is truly grateful for all that life and music has bestowed upon him these past 26 years - moments of magical happiness and blessings in disguise. His ultimate goal in life is to be a passionate musician surrounded by the three F’s: family, friends, and food. His artistic flame blazes on, as does his hope to inspire many others through his expressive music.
