Introducing David Campbell Lawrence: a brilliant songwriter and musician from Sydney, Australia, who just joined our label! David's passion for music ignited at an early age, and by 12, he knew he was destined to become a musician. Starting with piano lessons at 8, he quickly found his true calling with the guitar. By 13, David was not only playing but singing his original compositions for live audiences. Throughout his teens, David's talents expanded as he picked up various instruments and formed a group with friends, playing a mix of original music and covers at coffee shops, school events, and anywhere that welcomed their sound. By 16, music had become more than just a hobby. When a mid-week restaurant gig opened up, David transitioned from part-time musician to professional performer. Over the past 30 years, he’s graced trios, bands, clubs, pubs, and corporate events, honing his craft and building a reputation in the industry. Yet, while live performances have become less frequent, David’s passion for songwriting has only grown stronger. Now working from his home studio, he’s pouring his energy into composing music for artists, advertisements, and films—a creative process that fuels his love for music more than ever. David understands the dreams, hopes, and challenges of musicians at every stage of their journey, and he remains deeply committed to his craft. His latest compositions, crafted with heart and experience, are yet to be released. Stay tuned for more details, and in the meantime, dive into a sneak peek of his unreleased work below!

Song Description
"Steam Engines and Flying Machines" is the first track on "Contact". The track gives you the sensation of flying in a steam-powered airplane looking at the stars. A hard-hitting, evocative, raw, and filmic series of instrumental songs made in 2020. The music is experimental and new but still listener-friendly. Genre-wise it is a blend of punk, rock, electronica, industrial, and noise. The music tells a story that sets the mood, and the tracks are chronological chapters in a wordless novel about alienation or alien nations. Because the tracks are centered around different sensations, the exact story being told depends upon the individual listener.
