C.P. Joseph has been a Record Executive/Entrepreneur with over 25 years + experience in the Entertainment business. Having started his professional career in 1988 with Tips Industries Ltd. as an Advertising Manager who introduced Audio Advertising (Jingles) in Audio Cassettes with clients like Zodiac, Hindustan Lever etc… & handled various responsibilities like Events, PR, Purchase &finally was International Sales Manager to start the Export Division from zero turnover to reach Rs. 4 crores in 1996. In 1996 as Deputy-GM got the opportunity of setting up Padmini Music. Responsible for setting up the Music Division of the company from the grass roots level which included appointing personnel for the various departments i.e. A& R, Sales & Distribution, Events, International Licensing and International Participation. In 1997 as Vice President set up Vatsa Music. Was responsible for setting up the Music Division of the company from the grass root level which also included appointing personnel for the various departments i.e... A&R, Sales & Distribution, International Sales & Distribution, Public Relations, Events, Production , International licensing, etc.. In 1998 decided to become an entrepreneur having set up Spotlight Promotions & Management which has been setting standards in the field of Entertainment. It has a presence in many fields, like Database : SaReGaMa-The Indian Music Industry Directory, Publishing : Raga to Rock-The Magazine for Everything in Music, Events : Spotlight Events-Consultation to Staging Events, Record Label : Raga to Rock Records-The Independent Voice, Public Relation : Spotlight PR-Specialization in Image Management and more… and currently to date. In 2007 as Vice President - Alternative Content Division at Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. Responsible for setting up the Alternative division for the Home Video Business in the non-film genre like Children’s, Fitness, Literature, Philosophy, Spiritual, Music, Sports and Management. From 2009 and working to date as Vice President at Spotlight Networks Pvt. Ltd. Responsible for running the business as a independent profit centre and creating new business opportunities. Setup various business verticals like Video Division, Production Services, Merchandising, Content Syndication to name a few. Having clients like Mondo TV. Italy, Gemini Productions, Nyoo TV, Indian Music Industry (IMI) etc…
