John McCrea is a composer/pianist. He has written and arranged music for many dance and theatre pieces. His previous group Swim recorded an album entitled Sundrive Road for MCA records with the renowned producer Gary Katz.

Milkweed Assassin Bug are contemporary music duo John McCrea and Ian Leslie. They have just released their latest 5-track EP entitled Misophonia and last year released their first EP entitled Short Play. The music falls loosely into the category of Contemporary Classical/Electronic music that includes artists such as Max Richter, Nils Frahm and Johann Johannsson. The instruments featured are piano, electronics, saxophones and cello.
