Rusty Egan Drummer DJ producer Remixer and radio DJ was the DJ in The Blitz Club 1980 forging a career with Visage signed many artists to his Metropolis Music Publishing Via Warner Chappell Music inc Soft Cell & Johnny Hates Jazz and with his partners they bought Trident Studios making ground breaking records that would influence the next generation of electronic synth based DJs Bands & Producers he created The Camden Palace now KOKO the 1st massive super club with pre house DJs Coin Favor & Eddie Richards Remixing the debut Madonna single Everybody and financing The Batcave Club & Album signing the bands Chiefs of Relief & Specimen at the onset of Goth extended 12” singles. Returning from honeymoon in 1988 his partners had falsified his signature and diluted him to a minority shareholder locked out of the office and chasing the loas he had made intercompany broken he was picked up by U2 and given a 6 month position at Island Records helping him back on his feet there he introduced Gee Street to Island who delivered PM Dawn + Stereo MC’s and many more then just getting it together his marriage collapsed and he found himself sofa surfing a decade after worldwide No 1’s. He got back into the clubs with Judge Jules finally buying Embargo on Kings Rd and decided the music biz was not for him. For 15 years he avoided the music world only enticed back in 2009 to remix Moby - La Roux – Filthy Dukes and he was hooked once more. Since then the skulduggery lies cheats and thieves in the industry has appalled him to the extent he has made this 38 track album as a farewell to the old way and champions’ Blockchain / smart contracts / digital payments and transparency until that is in place there is no point spending time and money in the studio. In 2018 U2 accepted various mixes of 2 songs from the last album and paid him well the mixes are on all platforms and Rusty has co written the new single with Midge Ure – Glorious joining Midge on his tour Oct 6th and adding it to Heckle Movie soundtrack out in Nov 2019.
