Company profile

Production and song-writing duo, Armstrong & Stayte are creating a uniquely retro sound, paying homage to the influences of Pop, Funk and Disco. When combined with striking vocal talents, the catchy melodies and solid grooves offer a distinctive sound. Ex-UB40 Producer and keyboard-player Dan Armstrong, and multi-talented musician, Nigel Stayte have been writing together in various guises over the years. They began by playing in various cover-bands, and found that their mutual love of composing original material developed into a new direction. Their first venture was a song called “Hold Me”, a pop-disco song that wouldn’t sound out of place with Sophie Ellis-Bextor in charge. Upon submitting to BBC Introducing, the duo were pleasantly surprised to discover that the song had made “Track of the Week”. Since late in 2013, their songs have consistently been played on BBC Introducing, resulting in a live performance for the broadcaster. The material has since attained high praise from publishers, artists, broadcasters and record labels alike. At present, whilst already signed to publishing in the Far East, the duo are actively seeking representation and support from both publishing and record companies.
