“Water Pipe” – an underground jazz experiment. For this recording, I played the main water pipe 5 under construction in Fürstenrieder Straße in Munich – a section of steel and ceramic approximately 100 meters long. The result is a fascinating acoustic experience that turns the resonance of the space itself into a musical partner. “I thought an underground creature was answering me.” That was my thought when I played the first notes into the pipe.
