Malcolm produced such breakthrough musical acts as The Feelers, Shihad, Supergroove and many others. These are acts that changed the face of the New Zealand music scene time and again, pushing the industry forward creatively and economically, and going on to have successful International careers.

Malcolm is the holder of several multi platinum awards and national TUI awards, and has worked successfully on major projects with some of the biggest names in the music industry including multi grammy award winner Bruce Swedien (recording and mix engineer for Michael Jacksons Thriller, the biggest selling album of all time). Malcolm founded York Street Studios in Auckland in the 1990's producing many of New Zealand's most treasured recordings by our most renowned artists including Neil and Tim Finn (Crowded House) and Bic Runga.
