BRAINGATE only plays their own rock material. It won’t be played cover music. Current line-up: Thomas Kemper (guitar, vocals) Marco Bauhaus (bass) Carsten Boland (drums) Martin Kamperschrör (vocals) BRAINGATE plays their own, self-written songs with English-language lyrics. Stylistic similarities to the sound of bands like Muse, Toto, Evanescence, Kiss etc. are certainly intentional and reflect the musical influences of the individual band members. The age of the band members ranges from 40 to 60 years, which also leads to interesting cross-generational dialogues musically. In the meantime, BRAINGATE has gained an ever-growing fan base at concerts at home and abroad, which is also due to the fact that the band only performs handmade music Music plays. The band impresses with their earthy rock, their show and their joy of playing at performances – for example at the Dutch “Lust for Live” festival in Lichtenvoorde, in Mühlheim a. d. R., at the “Kulturiges” in Duisburg, as well as in smaller and larger clubs in the region. BRAINGATE is particularly appreciated by their fans because of the way the band engages their audience. In 2012, BRAINGATE recorded their first CD “Free your mind” in the Niederrhein Studio Keusgen, which is available as a download in all net stores worldwide. Various performances followed, which confirmed to the band that they were on the right path musically. . This was followed by the second CD „I’m Standing tall“, recorded in Ralf Böggering’s Reniet recording studio, with whose songs BRAINGATE was represented at the WDR Scene in the West, the German Rock and Pop Prize and Radio BOB. He brings a breath of fresh air and enriches our Braingate sound with cool drum riffs and a steady groove. Unfortunately our Theo had to leave the band due to health problems. We are reworking our songs and future songs will definitely be more guitar and bass heavy. We create the necessary synth sounds ourselves and will work without keyboards in the future.
