公司簡介

Lydiah Dola has been in the world of music ever since she joined the church’s main choir at the age of twelve. Here, she met the ‘Crown Prince of Benga’, Dan Aceda and they formed a duo where they brought modern-day Christian music to the forefront of Kenyan music. The duo decided to go solo in 2007. Lydiah’s first attempt to share the unity that African music brings to the world, was when she was nominated as the most promising female in Africa at the prestigious Kora all Africa Music Awards in 2014. During this year, she was also awarded by VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE & VOWW-TV for using her voice as a tool to bring out positive change in the society. In 2017, she won the Global women rights advocacy (SWAN DAY) music contest award. Some of her songs and music have been used in short films and radio programs for peace and humanity by different organizations such as Oxfam GB, Men for Gender Equality Now (MEGEN), Legal resource foundation, Femnet and Amani Kibera. Through CMFD, she was involved in the making and recording of the six-part serial drama, Crossroads, which was awarded by Radio for Peace building Africa in the Africa Awards Special Category. She was one of the main characters and developers of the drama’s theme song. Her journey continues as she carries on her duties throughout the world, sharing the sweetness of her motherland through song. Her wish is to be a strong voice of change in and out of Africa as she endeavors to build and reinforce a process of popular education with the desire to create positive change. She believes that Music has the power to transform the society into a culture that is more positive and healthy. ‘’ Giving back to Africa the sweetness of motherland”.
