Gary Matheny is a multi-award-winning singer and songwriter hailing from Macon, Georgia—the birthplace of Southern Rock (Allman Brothers, Stillwater) and the soul legacy of Otis Redding. In 2014, he relocated to Cleveland, Tennessee, to be closer to the heart of country music—Nashville. His unique style blends soft rock (Yacht Rock), easy listening pop, Americana, country rock, and traditional country. In 2020, Gary recorded his debut album, Not Looking Back, at Daystar Productions in Knoxville, Tennessee. This collection of easy-listening pop songs laid the foundation for his evolving sound. By 2022, he partnered with Gary Sadker, President of Red Ridge Entertainment, to produce Renaissance Man—a Nashville-crafted album that remixes select tracks from Not Looking Back alongside fresh material, featuring top Nashville studio musicians. A new album is set for release in the summer of 2025.
