Ina Dittke started in the jazz business in the early 80s in New York City, with her first company ID Productions, managing artists Jack Walrath, David ‘Fathead’ Newman and Hank Crawford. Shortly after, she was introduced to NEA Jazz Master James Moody whom she managed from 1986 until his death in December 2010. In the late 80s, in partnership with BPR in London, she managed Ronnie Scott (the artist, not the club!) and toured bands like the Dizzy Gillespie United Nation Orchestra, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, presented Miles Davis, Stan Getz , Roy Ayers, Pee Wee Ellis, Georgie Fame and many more. From 2000 she represented Mama Africa, Miriam Makeba, in Europe and North America until her untimely death after a concert in Napoli in November 2008. In 2006 Ina formed Ina Dittke & Associates from her new home in Miami. She continues to represent as manager and/or agent the various formations of The Dizzy Gillespie (TM) Musical Estate, Joao Bosco, Charles Tolliver, Vincent Herring, Sammy Figueroa, Allan Harris, NEA Jazz Master Donald Harrison and many others.
