To my amazement, I discovered that this literary treasure was my grandfather, Irwin Robert Shaw. In a special touch, I’ve included musical interludes featuring his voice. These recordings, discovered on a four-hour tape from the 1980s, offer a deeply personal link to his legacy and infuse the album with an intimate layer of meaning.
