I am an American, living in Japan since 1984. I served as CEO of Tower Records Japan for 18 years, and also oversaw the rest of Tower's Asian business. I also worked for two years as the Director of iTunes Japan. I have also worked extensively in distribution and import/export, and have written about music for many media in Japan and abroad.

Hotwire KK is a Tokyo based music publisher and consultancy. As publisher we represent many North American, European and Japanese songwriters, as well as a few from other territories. The type of artists we usually work with tend to be in genres of club music, alternative rock, pop,singer/songwriter, funk, jazz and various types of instrumental music. As a consult we help companies, managers and artists find their way in the often difficult but lucrative Japanese market. In addition we have also worked with the UK's BPI and Finland's MUSEX to further their business in Japan.
