Pandit Shyam Sundar is in the tradition of the great Maestros of classical music.He is undoubtedly among the best classical singers of his generation. A few years ago a voice awoke the courtyards of the ancient palaces of North Kolkata– Natmandir, Sovabazar, Chattubabu, Lattubabu, Madan Mahan… The ancestral walls of St John, the first cathedral of Bengal, vibrated to that voice.
