KUHOO GUPTA is a popular name in the independent music scene in India. Her velvety voice, versatile singing capabilities and ability to interpret fresh compositions in her unique style helps her create her own identity as a singer. Formally trained in Hindustani classical vocals and voice culture techniques, she has self trained herself in light music techniques. Having won the “Best Genre - Light Music” award in 2010 & "Best Song" award in 2013 in the awards for independent music in India by hungama.com group and being featured in the prestigious music talent hunt show Zee Saregamapa, she has come a long way from being a post graduate in computer science engineering from IIT Bombay to a software engineer and a professional singer now. She is very enthusiastic and comfortable singing in languages other than her mother tongue (Hindi). Till now she has attempted singing in Tamil, Oriya, Telugu, Sanskrit, English, Marathi, Bengali. Her originals and cover songs have been playing regularly on various online & FM radio stations in India, US & Australia. She has lent her vocals to many albums and singles. She has also performed live on stage all over the country.
