Wiktoria Szubelak is one of the most talented young Polish classical guitarists. She is prize winner of several national classical guitar competitions as soloist and as chamber music player. Wiktoria has made her debut at the age of 16 with Maestro Wojciech Rajski and the Polish Radio Orchestra at the Witold Lutoslawski Concert Studio in Warsaw as one of the finalists of the Polish edition of the Eurovision Contest for Young Musicians. In 2015 Wiktoria performed Fantasia para un gentilhombre by Joaquin Rodrigo with Teresa Carreño Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in Caracas under the direction of Cesar Ivan Lara, celebrating the Day od Europe and the 40th Anniversary of El Sistema. Wiktoria played concerts in Europe and South America including Festival Internacional de Guitarra GuitarFestPeru in Lima, Festival Internacional de Guitarra en La Ciudad Blanca in Sucre, Festival Internacional Cuerdas al Aire in Lima, Festival Internationale de Guitare in Lambesc, France. Wiktoria Szubelak is a graduate from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She is currently making her PhD at the Academy of Music in Łodź and postgraduate studies at Musikene in San Sebastian. During her musical education Wiktoria Szubelak has also studied with famous guitar virtuosos such as Carlo Marchione, Pavel Steidl, Thomas Müller-Pering, Marcin Dylla, Łukasz Kuropaczewski and Tomasz Zawierucha. She has been honoured with scholarships from the Polish Minister of Culture, the cities of Wroclaw and Warsaw and from The National Herritage Fund. Wiktoria's extensive repertoire includes solo works by Bach, Giuliani, Barrios, Lobos, Albeniz, Ponce, Piazzolla, Brouwer, Tansman, Rodrigo as well as concertos for guitar and orchestra by Vivaldi, Giuliani, Rodrigo, Villa-Lobos, Ponce, Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Brouwer.
