A.S.S. Concert & Promotion GmbH belongs to the top ten of the biggest and most successful tour promoters in Germany for a long time. Founded more than 20 years ago, having 2 employees at the beginning, and located in a small office (in Bad Zwischenahn near Oldenburg and Bremen), the two heads of office Michael Bisping and Dieter Schubert successfully built up their company to a prosperous enterprise in as little time as possible. These days, A.S.S. Concert & Promotion GmbH has around 20 employees and promotes up to 1.000 concerts a year. Furthermore, the company has gained good reputation among their partners in the field of Open-Air-Festivals. A.S.S. Concert & Promotion GmbH is a member of the federal association of the performance industry (IDKV). Since 2001 A.S.S. is very committed to employing trainees. Both, Dieter Schubert and Michael Bisping, had been working in the music business long before they joined in 1986 to found their company. At first they focused on organizing and promoting concerts in the national club scene. Little time later, however, they moved their office to Hamburg and soon A.S.S. gained a good reputation as a national tour promoter. Since 1989, A.S.S. has also been promoting concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. In fact, A.S.S. has found and supported several artists, when they were just at the beginning of their long lasting career. Besides their counselling work in terms of A&R, A.S.S. has been putting much interest in very dedicated support service for their artists and a personal and open relationship to them. In the future, A.S.S. will continuously focus on national artists. Moreover, the company will also continue to promote reading sessions such as Irina von Bentheim (“Sex & The City”), Helmut Krauss or “Drei ???”.
