Ralf Zenker has been an established figure in the German music industry for more than three decades. Originally trained as a photographer, he developed an early instinct for aesthetics, artist development, and creative processes. Since 1994, he has been working professionally in the music business, combining creative vision with extensive strategic, administrative, and commercial expertise. Throughout his career, Ralf Zenker has built strong experience across multiple sectors of the music industry, particularly in music publishing, label management, artist management, contract administration, and royalty management. His work has always been guided by one core principle: building sustainable and fair structures for artists and creative projects. As Managing Director of the Upright Songs GmbH, he has been responsible for the development and administration of numerous publishing and music-related projects. His work includes rights management, international exploitation, contract negotiations, licensing, royalty administration, and strategic artist and repertoire development. In addition, Ralf Zenker serves as Label Manager for No Respect Records and Hardfloor. Particularly within the electronic music sector, he has gained extensive experience in the development, marketing, and management of both national and international releases. His activities range from classic label operations and distribution coordination to promotion, release management, and long-term brand and artist development. Another major focus of his work is artist management. Thanks to his long-standing industry experience, Ralf Zenker understands the music business from multiple perspectives and supports artists strategically as well as operationally. His approach is strongly artist-oriented and project-driven, with a clear focus on sustainability, creative independence, and professional execution. A key area of expertise is his comprehensive experience in royalty management, covering both incoming and outgoing royalty structures. This includes monitoring, accounting, and distribution of publishing, label, and licensing income, as well as transparent artist and partner royalty reporting on both national and international levels.
