English: Laura Feldmann studied piano from her 7th year with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, besides piano-competitions. She completed her diploma as piano teacher at the Academy for Music and Drama in Hamburg in 1987. She teaches piano, music theory, aural training and harmonics as a freelance teacher in Hamburg, Germany. In addition, she works as a composer and as correpetitor and accompanist for vocalists. From 2005 until 2007 she studied Arabic language at the University Hamburg. From 2007 until January 2009, she taught piano in Cairo, Egypt. Since 2000, Laura Feldmann organized a number of events in the field of music and literature. In 2005, she initiated the German-Egyptian project “Arabian Poetry and Piano Music”, and in this scope was invited to perform at numerous Arabian culture festivals, for example at the University of Hamburg and the Goethe-Institute in Cairo, German embassy Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi.
