Personal profile
Born in Oslo, Norway. Grew up playing football and singing in churches. Left for England, London in 1995, studied at Mountview Theatre School for 3 years. Worked in pubs and toured with “Jesus Christ Superstar”, before getting the part of “Claude” in “Hair”, at the Raimund Theatre in Vienna, 2001. Played in several musicals and plays, before meeting Barrie Kosky in 2003, and got the chance to play “Nero” in “Poppea” at Schauspielhaus, Vienna. This production was also performed at the Berliner Ensemble, The Edinburgh International Festival and at The Sydney Opera House. It than became clear that musicals was no longer the right path, and decided to write original music. Was babysitting own daughter, Alina, whilst slowly building a home studio, and writing songs. Started working with the great cellist, Linde Härtel, first cover songs, than own material under the name “The K & L orchestra”, and released the CD “Pling Plong”. Was given the chance to arrange and perform Schuert and Schumann songs by director Stephanie Mohr at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt in the production, “Die Räuber”, which turned out to be a catalyst for writing theatre music at Reichenau Theatre Festival, Volkstheater and Theater in der Josefstadt. Wrote the original music for “Braunschlag” a TV-series produced by Superfilm/ORF after David Schalko and Evi Romen decided to trust the norwegian.
